I would like to find a beginner
triathlon (somewhere in GA) that
a beginner could participate in.
I am looking for something along
the lines of a 800m/20k/5k. I have
never participated in a triathlon
but I would love to try one. Can
anyone give me a lead on a triathon
nearby?

Sometimes the shorter triathlons
aren't listed on larger websites,
so check out your local running
and bike shops for entries. Do a
little surfing and see if you can
dig up a tri club near you.
Pick up a
free copy of Atlanta Sports &
Fitness at most newsstands or bike
shops and look under Mult-Sports
in the Events section (near the
back). The major national tri mags
(Triathlete, Inside Tri) also have
race calendars. Both have web pages.
Locate via any search engine.
