Question:
What company makes the best running
shoes for women? I have been running
regularly since 1981, and lately
my feet seem unable to take the
pounding as well as they used to.
In fact, I just broke a toe two
nights ago, and I am wondering if
I need a stronger and better supporting
shoe?
Answer:
Rudaya's are the best running shoes
for women. I have also always had
the best luck with ascics, but you
really need to find what works best
for you. New Balance is good too,
since they offer different widths.
Also, I don't know what you wear
now, but it is worth the extra $
to get a quality shoe that has good
cushioning/support.
The answer
to the question what's the best
running shoe reguardless of the
sex of the runner is THE SHOE THAT
WORKS FOR THE INDIVIDUAL. Every
foot and every individuals form
and biomechanics are just that individual
a shoe that works great for one
person can be the cause of an injury
in another individual.
You can't
even ask a question like what's
the most durable shoe since again
individual running forms will have
an impact on how long a shoe last.
About the only kinds of questions
you can ask and have a chance of
getting a correct answer are ones
like what is the lighest/heavest,
narrowest/widest in the heel/forefoot.
I only attempt to suggest shoes
to people who I know have had good
luck with the same
models of shoes I wear.
When you see
someone wearing the same shoes (more
than one model) as you for several
years then you can start to feel
comfortable asking them what they
think of a new shoe when you see
them wearing something different.
Otherwise you need to seek the advice
that can be found at many running
speciality stores (not the guys
in the ref shirts at the mall).
