What Is The Difference Between Good
Running Shoes And Bad Running Shoes? |
Question:
I am more of the mind that the difference
is the running form and style of the
runner in the shoes. I prefer as little
cushioning as possible so that I practice
running lightly over the surface of
the earth.
Answer:
The RAT has little heel padding and
less fore-foot padding, weighs in
at a hefty 8.5 oz., sells now for
about $60, and is the most comfortable
training shoe I've worn in years,
even though it's marketed as a racing
flat.
If you want padding, strap a pillow
to each foot. You'll get injured as
often or maybe more often, you'll
not run as fast or feel so light.
The difference between good and bad
shoes? The word 'cushion' in the marketing
material.
