Question:
I'm planning on traveling to Long
Island to do this race this year.
Can anyone who has done the race
kindly give me some opinions of
it? What is the course like? How
many runners does it attract? Are
there results anywhere
on the 'net from last year?
Answer:
Typically 600-700 for the Canon
marathon, and the remaining 4000+
runners opt to do the concurrent
half-marathon. I have not gotten
around to entering the race as of
yet, but I've heard that the course
is largely concrete as it travels
down a major parkway; a real leg
buster if ever there was was one.
