Question:
Has anyone run this marathon? I
am tossing the idea of a June (or
later) marathon around and came
across this one. I lived in SD as
a kid, and I think it would be great
to go back and do this marathon.
Any comments on course, organization,
etc? I assume it's a huge race?
Answer:
I am from Singapore and travelled
half way around the world to run
this marathon this year. I found
it to be a good run with, what is
to me, nice warm weather. Plus,
with music groups along the way
and friendly volunteers giving runners
smiles and cheerful encouragement
hey, I might even go back for RNR
Marathon next year.
Incidentally,
I had to hitch a ride from my hotel
in the El Cajon area to the starting
point and the kind driver also gave
lifts to a runner from Montreal
and another from France! I met those
runners again back at the hotel
after the run and they too confessed
that they had a great time.
