Question:
I went to Road Runner Sports and
they have great prices on their
shoes. What would be the best shoe
(value wise) in the clearance store?
Answer:
There is no one correct answer.
You have to try on runners to find
one that fits you best. Even if
you wear orthotics. Then, when you
find ones that fit you, you can
mail order a bunch of them. Remember
that running shoes last longer if
you switch off
every day, so get at least two identical
pairs and switch them.
Go into a good athletic shoe store
and try on everything. Strongly
consider custom made orthotics.
I have several pairs, two made by
top notch podiatrists and one by
a brilliant chiropractor in NYC.
The Podiatrists are all stiff, while
this Chiropractor's concept much
different, he makes them soft and
spongy, so I can continue to use
all the muscles in my foot while
the fit is perfect, and he corrects
the slight 10% incline which helps
my knees and ankles tremendously.

has one in it. When I was a runner,
this NEVER steered me wrong, and
I also required stability shoes.
