Salomon GCS Pro Trail Shoes? |
Question:
Got an email from REI touting these
as Backpacker Magazine's Best of 2006,
although I found them for $25 less
than REI is selling them They seem
to have pretty good reviews all the
places I've looked. Anyone use Salomon
shoes, and the GCS Pro in particular?
Anyone have any opinions on these?

You might also check on the RW ultra/trail
or shoe forums. Several people there
use Salomon, but I think they're mostly
in the XA series. Try to indicate
your intended use of them since they
are almost 1 lb apiece - regular trail
running, off-trail running, fastpacking,
hiking, climbing, etc. - or whether
you have special biomechanical issues
or foot shape.
