Question:
What brand of shoe do you like for
trail running/adventure racing?
I've been looking at the Montrail
Vitesse and the Salomon Raid Runner
and Raid Wind, but I'd like to hear
other's opinions and recommendations.
If you know of any brand that is
good for a narrow foot (B width)
that would be especially helpful.
Answer:
If you can still find them try nike
air minot. They are ankle high and
goretex lined. The sole is great
for mud etc, but i have yet to try
them on rock. MSRP is $200.000 but
i found mine for $100.00 in a sale!
I love NB
road shoes but they don't make their
trai or racing flats in narrow sizes.
Right now I'm using the ADIDAS ALFRESCO
2 for trai running. I use to wear
the ASICS Gel-Murrow (No longer
made) but took a big toe pounding
from fitting them too short trying
to get a good fit in the width.
In NB shoes I wear a B width in
a dress shoe I'll wear an A width
but you can't find runnig shoes
that narrow. Trying to find a good
biking shoe that narrow is an even
bigger problem.
