I'm training for my first triathlon
and would love to do something in
the NYC area, but no matter how
hard I look, I can't find a listing
of any races. Anybody know of a
site or organisation that lists
races on the Eastern side of the
map?
Answer:
Triathlon is mostly seasonal and
it's a little too early to be looking
for next years dates. Most race
organizers have just finished their
past seasons and are just now starting
to think about next season so you
probably shouldn't expect to see
many next year's dates posted until
after the first of the year.
One thing
you can do is look at races that
were held in last year (www.trifind.com
is one place but info is plentiful).
Many races are held on the same
weekend annually so the last year
calendar would be a good preview
to what you can expect next season.
Just remember that races do die
and get moved sometimes too, so
make sure you find a couple of options
you're interested in and don't get
too hung up on a particular race
or date this early.
